Wilderness & Remote First Aid Training in Northern BC
The Wilderness and Remote First Aid (WRFA) program offered through the Canadian Red Cross is designed for individuals who spend time in non-urban, remote, or backcountry environments—whether for work, adventure, or everyday life. Delivered in partnership with Kitamaat Valley Education Society (KVES), this specialized training prepares participants to respond confidently in situations where medical help may be delayed.
With three distinct course levels to choose from, this program allows learners to build the right level of preparedness for their specific needs. Whether you're a guide, outdoor worker, or nature enthusiast, WRFA teaches essential skills for responding to injuries and emergencies in areas where resources are limited.
Developed using evidence-based best practices, this hands-on training ensures participants gain practical, relevant skills they can rely on in real-life scenarios.
